limited budget that expect great performance. These amplifiers are designed and engineered in the USA with the same quality and performance that you
expect from Orion.
HIGH-GRADE COMPONENTS
All Orion Cobalt amplifiers use the same high-grade components that are used in the upper end series of product. Tolerance components in the signal paths
are paid special consideration to improve the small signal specifications.
The output and power supply devices used in the Orion Cobalt amplifiers are rated at 10%-20% higher than are required for the amplifiers power output. This
is to ensure that the amplifier will deliver consistent power in extreme conditions. As components increase in temperature, their value reduces, this is
called de-rating. This can be detrimental to the components over a long period of time.
HIGH EFFICIENCY ALUMINUM HEATSINKS
The Orion Cobalt heatsink is extruded from high-grade 6061 automotive grade aluminum. The design of the heatsink has been optimized to pull heat away from the
devices as efficiently as possible and dissipates the heat evenly across the entire heatsink area.
FULLY ADJUSTABLE CONTROLS
The front end of the Cobalt amplifiers are deigned to be extremely flexible to allow virtually any system set up and/or upgrade. With fully variable crossovers,
audio line out and remote bass control, these amplifiers will hit hard no matter what the set up is or what vehicle they're in.
HIGH-LEVEL INPUTS WITH AUTO-SENSE TURN ON
At these entry-level price points, there is no doubt that most of the customers will likely be using their factory head unit with these amplifiers. To aid in the
installation, we have equipped these amplifiers with high-level inputs that also include an Auto-Sense circuit. When more than 1V is detected on the speaker line,
the amplifier will turn on. Once the voltage is gone for more than 30 seconds, the amplifier will turn off.
